Problem
When a user uses a product for the first time, they often experience situations that can annoy, delight or even completely surprise them. In this context, the reactions during use were recorded, analyzed and compared in chronological order using interaction mapping.
Idea
The entire first use was recorded on several levels. As the user was constantly prompted to express their thoughts and feelings using the think-aloud method, all actions and interactions were documented. After the user had successfully measured their blood pressure, they were interviewed to record their impressions and clarify any ambiguities.
All of the user's statements were transcribed for the interaction mapping. The interactions with the product were divided into individual phases and key moments. During these phases, the user sometimes experienced a "moment of truth" or an extreme emotional depth. These swings of positive and negative emotions were visually highlighted.
Solution
The most important insights from the interaction mapping were printed on a poster using text and illustrations to show the user's impressions at all levels of perception.
